Great super fast shipping for $5!

Super fast shipping. The product was exactly as described and an added surprise was a carrying case for the headset, I didn't realize it was included. I've had a Telex 750 for 14 years and it's still working but the case is starting to fall apart. I expect the same quality from the 850. Made for pros who are tired and tested!

Pros
  • Aviation electronics
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Microphone gain adjustment screw is broken, which will likely result in the microphone not working. I thought I could contact the seller to try and fix the headset issues but that doesn't seem to be possible. There is a contact button, but it only opens a chat with Revane directly.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Requires socket

Good compromise but not great

The Telex 850 is probably the best compromise in the price range for an ANR 'Silent Cockpit' headset. I might be a bit critical, but I just downgraded a Sennheiser that finally gave up after 20 years. I don't think the telex will last that long. The plastic caps on the earcups and microphone hinge feel pretty flimsy. The 12dB reduction on Telex is negligible compared to some other headsets, but I found I moved the inner earbud slightly away from my ear to hear the soft voices of the crew…

Pros
  • Headsets and Intercoms
Cons
  • Doubt
