The 24AWG magnet wire is flawless. It has no creases or creases, which is crucial in the manufacture of tattoo machine coils. The photos I've attached are of the tattoo machine I made with the first set of coils I made with TEMCo wire. Used as speaker wire in a Hi-Fi stereo system. Equivalent to a similar product sold as speaker cable priced at $232/set (anti-cable). The plating is quite strong and designed to withstand a short circuit of several orders of magnitude more current than that used for speakers. I tried to burn off the coating with a lighter to no avail, so I ended up using a small grinding wheel to remove rust on my drill bit to sand down the coating so I could attach each cut end to the speaker bracket.
