These collars are NOT Leather at all! They consist of a kind of felt with a leather pad. The metal immediately begins to rust, and the "skin" immediately begins to tear with any force applied; which will definitely happen with the puppies. Also a very strange smell when they get wet. The description of the skin is a blatant deception.

We breed Labrador Retrievers and after reading all the reviews that they are too small even for a small breed puppy I hesitated to order. After walking back and forth I decided to just bite the bullet and order them. I'm so glad I did! They are great quality, reasonably priced and definitely big enough to fit an 8 week old Labrador puppy! I love them so much I have just ordered another set and will continue to order them for future litters!

These collars are not secure and we can sue them. We bought these collars to be able to identify a litter of puppies. So far 2 out of 9 puppies have had to have surgery because they ate their collars. We have three more going for X-rays. 1 puppy ate 3 and removed them from the stomach. I bought these collars to mark a litter of 9 labrador puppies. I wanted them to replace the velcro that other puppies pull off as they get older. I put them on when they were 6 weeks old and within a day they were torn apart and peeled off. They were a waste of money. Wow they were MUCH better than I expected for the price. Well made and well adjustable, with nice bright colors and solid fittings.
