I got tired of not having a meat mallet I couldn't put in the dishwasher and this took care of it. Would give 5 stars if it was a little heavier.

The handle is not long enough for effective use. The hanger loop dug into my palm and caused me enough pain to throw it out and find something better. No, I don't recommend that. It's beautiful but horrible to use

Item not made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is not magnetic, this item is magnetic. It's also too light for a tenderizer. My hands aren't very strong, so lighter seems lighter, but it's not, so the softening should come from your strength and not the tool.

Returning as it was already broken upon delivery. Came in a soft envelope but there were small damages in the box. When I pulled it out, the metal on both ends of the rubberized grip broke, and the rubberized grip along its entire length also broke. Very disappointing.

All pins pushed in, some not seated properly. Creates an ideal place for bacteria. There was black sediment all over my head and some are still stuck under my glasses. Welding is bad too. I didn't use it because I didn't want that black residue left on my food. Item will be returned

There is nothing wrong with this hammer! I mainly use the flat side for beating chicken breasts. I haven't used the fabric softener side, but it has ALL other possible uses (e.g. lightly tap a clove of garlic to remove the skin). It's not too heavy, but not too light either, perfectly weighted in my opinion.

I had a wooden mallet but the handle came off. I put off buying a new one for fear that the juices from the raw meat would seep into the wood and build up bacteria, even though I had cleaned it well. This stealing hammer is great! Easy to clean and don't worry about bacteria. And the head must not fall off the handle.
