Had to align tips before use. I find that little tips work better. I used an 0805 passive desoldering tool. I don't have much experience with this type of tool, but I imagine it would be difficult to use a component soldering tool.
Garbage. As they begin to heat up, the metal expands and the tips come loose when you apply pressure to them. Tried to use a couple of times and couldn't loosen the parts as the lugs moved, then you have to cool down, retighten and hope it doesn't happen again - it's also difficult to align the lugs after loosening. He has a job and it fails miserably.
If you think you can solder SMD parts, you're wrong. It won't happen, period! I expected the tips to be a quarter of what they were. So big that I laughed out loud when I saw them. The peaks do not meet (peak to peak) even with many rotations and tweaks. I tried to use them for their intended purpose so I can say I did in this review. But after trying them, I just threw them in the trash. It's too cheap to play around with yields, and here it's useless. However, after soldering some 806β¦
