High quality knives match chef's knives

Husband liked it. I have a set of knives that are showing their age. So we fill up our inventory with really good knives. He was very impressed.

Fits cutlery and knife accessories

This knife is easy to carry and works well for me. I used Ikea which is heavy so this lighter one makes me feel so light and comfortable. Love it.

Cons
  • Big and bulky

Weak handle in kitchen and dining room

After 3 months of daily use the knife has a crack on the handle... the blade stays sharp for a while but the handle is the only problem I've developed...

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Small parts

Very sharp, well balanced. Good grip

Can't say enough about this knife. The weight is great, excellent grip and very sharp. Very nice look, high-quality materials and workmanship. Couldn't be happier with my purchase. It is also well packaged in a nice box so you can give it as a gift too. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Easy to maintain

Not as sharp as I thought

I used this knife today to cut up a Christmas turkey but I have to say it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. It worked with an onion I diced to add to a turkey soup I'm making, but I can't get over the sharpness of the knife. A bit disappointed after all the positive reviews.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Low productivity

GOOD knife! Good for chef's knives

Bought a Tensteed chef's knife for general cooking and was pleasantly surprised by the craftsmanship of the knife. I found the black fretboard to have a nice feel and the wooden grip to feel very solid. In terms of performance, the knife meets my expectations and is the right size for all-round use. We have other knives from Global and Shen and I would say they are on par with those that cost a few times more.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • confused

Poor fit and finish

I decided to give it a try as it is made of good steel and is 60% cheaper. At first the brass insert is raised in the handle, but I managed to smooth it down with a flat file and Scotch Brite. The joint was also uneven so I sanded it and made a little chamfer on the edge. The black part of the blade appears to be black paint so I removed it using Scotch Brite conditioning tape on a 1X42 belt sander. I sanded and polished the edge so it's pretty sharp now. is heavily tarnished, almost like…

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Problem

Thoughts on the emerging Chinese knife market

As a professional sushi chef, I have used and now own several expensive small gauge knives. For those who work in the culinary field or are particularly interested in knives, it is common knowledge that German and Japanese knives are generally considered to be the best. No wonder my knife collection consists only of Japanese and German knives. That's how it was until I picked up this Chinese knife. Aesthetically this knife is fine. I love the handle and the black finish on the top of the knife,

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
