So far so good. I've only ridden them about 200 miles but I love how they feel and how they ride. At the moment I'm tubed, but at some point I'll think about tubeless. great tyre.

The tubeless tire is very easy to mount by attaching it to the rim with an air compressor. Tires mounted on a 21.5" internal width rim were originally 38mm wide, but narrowed to 40mm after initial break-in. So far excellent grip on dry gravel, fast driving on gravel and tarmac.

Note - they say 40c/40mm but are 38mm wide on my 20mm internal Stans Grail rims. These are solid 38c tires and are noticeably smaller than the tires they replaced. Not sure why they didn't label them that way as you would need a 25mm MTB rim to get them to 40. They installed easily with just a 1/2 size stroke floor pump.

I've bought Continentals before and I can't tell you how impressive they were. 3 seasons on bumpy country roads with no punctures. On the other hand, they have accumulated at least 6 punctures with slow leaks of less than 150 miles on relatively soft limestone macadam pavements. What about sealing you ask? Well, that doesn't get the job done either, but that's a story for another review. They may be good on the pavement, but then why not just buy a commuter tire? Bottom line, I was disappointed

Dimensions are perfect, sold as 700 x 40, on a 23mm internal width rim it's a 40 exactly. What you would expect from a Continental. The tubeless setup was super easy. No tire levers, just a floor pump and Muc-Off sealant. My rear tire has almost no tread after 1000 miles, the front tire still has about 30% tread - 80/20 gravel/pavement. I think this is the first Continental bike tire to match this sidewall size. I bought the Terra Trail which comes in 40C. When first fitted it was 39cm and after two days of sitting it rose to a true 40 degrees. This was on a 23mm inner diameter rim. The tire was easy to install with just air, I didn't have to use an inner tube to initially install the bead like other Continental tires. I added blue Bontrager sealant and it sealed perfectly.
