Very handy addition

I've wanted one of these since I saw a colleague use it with his counter. The magnet is very strong and allows you to hang the meter almost anywhere. This leaves your hands free to place the probes exactly where you want them in the circuit.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Minor issues

Good strap, best in electrical engineering

Nice strap, almost the same if not quite the same as the straps that come with Fluke test kits. The magnet is really strong so your counter will never fall off. And yes, it applies to everything, but it's good practice to keep your meter and accessories in a separate bag or case.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • I will add later

AS GOOD AS THE NAME BRANDI

I am a fire alarm installer and have been using the Fluke 179 with its magnet for over 5 years and love it. I decided to add to my collection so I bought a Fluke 101. I didn't see a magnet giving out as much as a meter so I bought this one. It seems almost identical except it's longer which I wouldn't like but for the price it's ok. The strength of the magnet is roughly the same as that of the strap.

Great magnet, great price.

It came quickly. The magnet is very strong. It came with a longer nylon strap so I attached the magnet to the OE Fluke strap first and it works great. If I need a longer one, I have it. I use on Fluke 87v. The only thing is, if you buy Fluke's more expensive magnet kit, you get a little metal tab for the magnet to stick to when not in use. This magnet is very strong and easily grabs wrenches and metal parts.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • There are defects

My colleagues want!

As a mid-range automation specialist ;) in one of the distribution centers of a very popular online retailer, it has become one of the panel troubleshooting needs. I used to have to find a place to prop my F---e 87 meter while checking fuses or I/Os. Now I just throw it at the cabin door and go. It is particularly pleasant when, in the event of a SEVere machine failure, the few seconds saved are almost as priceless as the counter itself. Now all the other technicians want it!

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Not the best

Hold's 87v is good at a great price

Received December 12, 2019. $13.23 after tax. It seems to be holding up. on the switch box doesn't seem to move when my Fluke 87v is plugged in. If I hold my 87v level with the magnet and drop it, the magnet moves 2 inches. But after that it doesn't seem to crawl anymore. I think this will be enough for my app and I don't know if the official one is much stronger? When my 87v was secured to the side of the fridge it slid a few millimeters and then didn't seem to move. . The side of the…
