Dirty Turtle Treat

My turtle loves it but the bottom of the canister is very fluffy with smaller pieces falling apart. The pieces are too small for my turtle but enough to change the color of my water. I still keep buying more when I'm not at home because my tortoise loves them so much.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

I'm not a turtle for food

So I'm not a turtle, so I can't talk about the taste. The diamondback terrapin I breed loves it and will eat all of these little shrimp before eating their other food. I'm also not sure what is meant by shrimp thickness? I mean it's dehydrated shrimp, it's basically a shrimp flavored paper. But the little guy loves it so I'm giving it 5 stars because I think he would give it.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Overall happy with this purchase and will buy again

Our turtle loves reptile treats. We have had a river turtle (a cousin of the red-eared slider) since 1995 and she loves this delicacy. But be careful: do not overfeed your turtle with this product. Our bottle accidentally got partially into the aquarium, although he ate some, but not all. The remaining uneaten portion began to stink within a few hours. This led to an impromptu cleaning of his tank. Overall happy with this purchase and would buy again.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Something different

Baby Turtle Approved!

My red-eared turtle loves these little dried shrimp. Small enough to be eaten immediately. He's happy to see me coming and he's crazy about the food. He's trying to gobble up the tank until we add something. This is madness! I bought it based on the reviews and now I can see it for myself. It's so much on the bench that I can see it lasting and it's so affordable. I still feed him mealworms and pellets, but he's definitely eating shrimp like a crazy little hungry turtle. And it's not…

My RES was not happy

I just ran out of my regular shrimp (from Fluker's) and chose this brand because you get two containers of shrimp for a good price. Although it looked good, the shrimp itself is very small and looks a lot less authentic than Fluker's. It's a lot more orange than the usual pink I'm used to. My RES barely ate it and left most of it in the water until I had to clean it up later ;-; This is just an experience I had with my RES so I don't know if your turtle will like it but I think the shrimp…

Small treat but good overall

The shrimp were small compared to what I was hoping for. I have a turtle that loves shrimp but she definitely prefers large shrimp. They are smaller compared to the latest brand shrimp despite being the same species. The fish was able to eat many turtle shrimp before it could reach them due to the shrimp's small size. This size is ideal for fish or very small turtles (my turtle is 5 inches, fish are about the same). The shrimp didn't powder up in the bottom half of the container like some…

  • Not the best
