Teva sandals are good for me

I started wearing Teva in 1995. I've had many styles over the years but I keep coming back to this one. I'm a big proponent of the plastic buckle. Hook and loop styles wear out much sooner than the buckle.

Pros
  • Extremely comfortable...
Cons
  • The price of the sandal is too high for its quality

Bought as a replacement for Calloway

The female part of the clasp is not attached with velcro. makes it much more difficult to attach the shutter. Why? The insole is nowhere near as comfortable as Calloway. My question is: why discontinue a great product like Calloway?

Pros
  • I bought a pair and liked them, and a week later I bought two more pairs. I think the rating speaks for itself.
Cons
  • Sandals are not suitable for everyday use, which limits their functionality.

Very good, powerful and comfortable

Was looking for a sandal with a buckle that was more comfortable and durable than velcro, unfortunately Teva doesn't offer many of these at the moment. Smaller than the regular Teva size I'm used to, for example this is a 13 5-6 mm smaller than the 13 the Teva Holliway and Teva Hurricane XLT2 Alp models I have. Still good. Overall happy with this pair, very comfortable, looks solid and durable, the dark olive color looks a bit military.

Pros
  • Super comfortable and excellent calidad
Cons
  • Sandals can cause irritation in the ankle area due to the design of the straps.

Comfortable sandals - my new test report

I've had them for about 6 months and wear them almost every day during the summer. They shrink easily and are very comfortable to wear. Great sandals!

Pros
  • Universal
Cons
  • Sandals have a chunky design that can be uncomfortable when worn with tight pants.

Difficult to put on and take off

Uses a plastic buckle for fastening. The problem is that the buckle is on the outside of the sandal. You cannot reach and clasp your right sandal with your left hand, so you must crouch or sit down to clasp the sandal with your hand on the same side as the sandal. (right sandal - right hand) If you wear them, they are beautiful. The problem is turning them on and off. So if you like tying yourself in a knot to close your sandals, this could be for you? Otherwise I would have gone further.

I hope they hold up better than Holliway

I had a pair of Teva Holliway sandals that fell apart in March 2020. What a disappointment as they were incredibly comfortable and helped ease the severity of my chronic plantar fasciitis. It was difficult to find a replacement during Covid until I came across Tanway in a shop on a recent holiday but they weren't my size and the price was very high. I found them at Revain and love them. I smile when I put them on. I have them as I write this. I would give them a 5 but I've only had them for 2…

Expensive but worth it

I've been wearing Teva sandals for decades. I have a few criticisms: 1) The velcro wears out before the sandals wear out. Buckle models eliminate this; Buckles are much stronger than velcro. Ignore the names of different sandals, pay attention to the buckle. 2) price. Seriously, they are overpriced compared to others that have a similar product. I've tried many others and keep coming back to Tevas. I've stopped trying, I only buy Teva when I'm wearing an old pair. 3) Open-toe shoes become…

Worst replacement for men's Teva Toachi 2 sandals

About 6 years ago I bought two pairs of Toachi 2 sandals from Teva. They were excellent sandals and although they have become a bit sloppy over time I still wear my original pair. I was going to get a second pair but now I need a larger size due to dropped arches. I don't like velcro so I bought Teva Tanway sandals. While they offer a comfortable fit, the outsole feels noticeably inferior to the Toachi. Also, the Tanway sole is much wider than the Toachi because the base of the straps attaches…

Disappointed in shoes

This is my third pair of Teva Tanways and I really liked the first two pairs. Velcro to adjust the fit combined with a buckle to secure the shoe to the foot was perfect. But they did a few things that upset and disappointed me. There used to be Velcro on the female side of the buckle. A Velcro strap held the buckle in place, allowing the sandal to be pulled on and secured with one hand. Velcro is gone and now it takes two. The bed of the shoe has changed and no longer has the plush cushioning…

Almost identical to Holliway

I've bought several pairs of Holliway over the years. I would buy it again but my size is out of stock so I ordered this model instead. I really like the zipper; very convenient. These sandals seem almost identical to the Holliway, except they don't have a loop on the heel strap (which I don't usually use anyway, so I don't miss them). I use one pair for walking on the beach and the other pair for walking around the house or on a walk. I can't wear beach shoes at home because sand gets into the

Holliway replacement

I have a pair of Holliway, not sure how long they will last but they are the most comfortable shoes/sandals, I wear them all the time, mostly as indoor shoes. The tanways are new and I won't give them five stars but time will tell. I'll wear my Hollyways 'til they die. You will feel comfortable wearing wool socks in winter and most other occasions. The main reason I have both pairs is for the quick release of the buckle. This feature is worth giving up on any other sandal.
