Teva Scamper Trail Little Royal Boys' Shoes Review

Possibly the worst pair of shoes I have ever bought for my son. They look cheap, rub the foot in the wrong places and have a terrible fit. A very unfortunate purchase, especially for the price. I expected more from Teva.

My 5 year old son used them for kayaking/hiking in Kauai and they worked great. The boots dry well and he didn't complain that they hurt his feet after a 6 mile hike. The tread can get a bit clogged with mud making it slippery but overall I think this is a really good and well made shoe.

I sent them to summer camp with my daughter and they soon broke into their journey. She had different Tevas this past summer and they worked. I would not recommend these.

These are pretty much just running shoes with a waterproof insole, I was expecting something more like water socks and more mesh with no inner lining. I wanted my child to carry something on the fender and I have a feeling it will be very heavy and bulky when wet. I'll keep them for playing outside anyway so he doesn't have to wear socks. I ordered a size 11 and they are the same size as my son's size 10 running shoes.

We bought these shoes for a recent trip and are so glad we did! They offer excellent protection in the water and can also be used for other activities. They are easy to put on and don't slip off like other water shoes. I would highly recommend this brand of water shoes.

They worked great for long wet walks on vacation. My son felt very comfortable in it. Good cushioning and good fit. Not the most attractive. I wish they had better style.

These shoes are super comfortable! My son is cheeky and very active. He loves these shoes and wears them all the time. He said it was very comfortable and light. He has wider feet but this shoe is so flexible and fits any foot type. We bought the orange one from LLBean and paid almost $100 but it was worth it. Also very durable. His feet are growing, but because these shoes are so flexible, he could be wearing them for the second year! Orange is a bright and very cool theme.

These are almost the only shoes my son will wear, they are light, comfortable and easy to put on. He wears them every day, not just in the water. He has a pair of Asics and Geox shoes which I try to get him to wear to school as I feel they offer better support when running, but he always chooses them. Some reviewers mention the problem when the shoe rubs on the foot, we haven't experienced that and this is his third pair, I think it depends on the anatomy of the foot. Works for us.

In general, I really like Teva shoes. Actually this is the 4th pair of Teva water shoes (all different models) that we have bought for our son. The previous 3 were great. Unfortunately, this pair is far from perfect and unwearable. It's just that these shoes cause pain from chafing your Achilles tendon. I wish I had more faith in the negative reviews that mentioned this. I advise you to do it now. Almost all of the negative reviews relate to the same friction/pain issue. I doubt that applies to

From day one my son fell in love with these shoes. He loves that he can put them on but having the elastic drawstring ensures they fit snugly and always notices how comfortable they are. It also helps that his favorite color is green and this shoe has a nice color combination. I love that they are so easy to wash (and dry).
