Great for chilly nights

The softest electric blanket we've ever bought. Well made, good quality. It has a soft, penetrating warmth that you can feel against your skin, but the duvet itself doesn't feel as hot as many others. It keeps you warm and is actually safer than others for the very young and old alike. You can set it to different temperatures and it has a timer up to 8 hours. For the last few nights we've been using it at maximum power and turning it off before bed. We have the color blue, a mix of royal and…

Comfortable, soft and good for a king size bed

My 30+ year old electric blanket finally broke and I searched and searched for a new one. This quilted one hit me in the eye and sounded good. All is well. As others have said, it doesn't get quite as warm as the old ones. The reviews say it's hard. It doesn't seem heavy to me, but I like it heavy - lots of blankets. I can understand the dispatcher's complaints. I have controllers hanging from each corner of the headboard and have no problem reaching back and turning it on and off. I only set…

OK except for a defective controller

I received the blanket on Wednesday 9th November 2016. So it seems to be a good size, my husband was very warm and the blanket generally works. Unfortunately one of the controllers is not working. I plugged it in and nothing appears on the display when I press the power button. I called support today (Saturday) and left a voice message. I'll keep you posted on what's happening from here. The company called me back the following Monday and I was able to replace the controller after I filled out…

Dissatisfied with unit

I had some issues with the duvet and returned it. (1) It offered no warmth across the full width of my king bed. I only used it on my side of the bed and when I moved to the edge of the bed there was no heat. (2) The blanket was too heavy for me and excessively stretched across my legs when lying on my back. (3) I live in an area where very brief power outages are common. In this case, the duvet turned off and stayed off until I manually turned it back on (4) no auto-on to preheat the bed (5)…

Nice blanket but controller. not as much.

First. The thing is getting warm. really warm. It is a heavy, almost quilt-like blanket. I like a weighted duvet. others may find it too difficult. The problem lies in the controllers. For beginners. are they blue and not white? Second, the wires are about a foot shorter for a king bed (another reviewer commented on this and I should have listened). Also, the controllers themselves are too light. They don't sit flat because the weight of the wires actually tilts them backwards. Pressing the…

Controller functions are not well thought out:

The blanket itself is excellent! Very warm even without switching on! However, the controls must be illuminated so that you can check the settings at night. Whatever the case, you need to grab a flashlight, turn on the light, or find the temperature up and down buttons, reach for them in the dark, and press one of them to turn on the temperature display. An audible click when changing the temperature settings is also not necessary. Pressing it several times will simply wake up your wife or…

Great blanket, terrible controllers

I have tried many different electric blankets over the last 3 years and returned them all. Mainly because nowadays only fleece is produced. The fleece is too hot for me. Even without a blanket, I got too hot every night and had to pull the blanket down to the foot of the bed. I've been trying to find cotton but they just don't make it anymore or if they do it's prohibitively expensive - a few hundred dollars. So. I bought it because it's not fleece. It's thinner than fleece and much more…
