Quality Control Notice

The unit works fine except for a small fan that was DOA. I went to a local shop and paid AU$15 to buy a new fan. Now it works as intended, it's just a pity I had to spend money to fix it when it arrived.

Cons
  • Slightly dented

Very weak effect Good for heatsink

The cooling effect is very poor and the cooling fans are very weak even when powered by a suitable high-power 12V/12A power supply The fan placement is very unfortunate. Extremely disappointed with this product. Don't waste your time and money on this.

Water condensation after a few hours

Another review says no water condensation after 1 hour of use - true, but just wait a few more hours and you'll see how much water condenses around the metal of the cooling side. Eventually it starts to drip (very slowly). So it's dangerous to use it as a PC cooler, you need to keep it outside the case to blow in some cool air. But for the size and the price, it cuts a fine figure. I am thinking of 3D printing the case for this to ensure the water is safely collected and the small fans are the…

Very Poor Effect - Computer Components

The cooling effect is very poor and the cooling fans are very weak even when powered by a real high power 12V/12A power supply. The fan placement is very unfortunate. Extremely disappointed with this product. Don't waste your time and money on this.

Striking example of bad design

All parts are there, two decent peltier chips, heatsink and fan. Everything you need to create a decent cooling unit. Unfortunately, all this is poorly collected. The screws that hold the fans in place are simply screwed into the fins of the radiators. They don't screw into anything, so damage is almost guaranteed before this device gets to you. The cold side heatsinks are tiny while the hot side heatsink is left open on the cold side. This drains the block of most of its potential cooling…
