Works well but cheap for some reason

First, information not included in the list: 1. Uses 4 TEC1-12705 Peltier modules. 2. The fans on the hot side are MB Ambeyond brand, model number AV-F9025MS (12 VDC brushless and 1200 rpm / 38.4 cfm I believe). While this product works reasonably well and is mostly assembled as I would expect, there are definitely some oddities. First, heat dissipation on the hot side is largely inadequate if you're looking to achieve a decent temperature differential that's anywhere near what you should be…
