This product does not represent the actual temperature of a person and you cannot calibrate it accurately. There's too much at stake these days for a device to be this inaccurate (more than what the manufacturer states as variance, which is too high).

Very easy to use. I like the idea of putting it by the door so you can check the temperature when you enter the house. I have this in my nursery, I just hold it in front of my son and take his temperature and we're on our way. I understand a lot of people get this for deals which is great too. Quickly check the temperature, ABS alarm when the temperature is too high. The only thing I don't like is that I can't figure out what kind of battery it's using while I'm only using it on mains.

This gives you a quick temperature reading, but sometimes I have doubts about the temperature reading. Sometimes this may not be correct. Although I think it's because things like hair or hats are on the way, the temp seems a little suspicious at times. It's also very loud, and there's no setting to turn down the beep volume.

Right out of the box it looked cheap. It has two power options, wired and rechargeable. A battery option would be great, but it requires a very specific type of battery (I've never heard of one) that's very hard to find. For the price paid, customers should get at least one battery to start with, or a direct link to a source of supply. All of our readings were low, somewhere between 91 and 95 degrees.
