Description of 🌡️ AIOMEST 50: 1 Infrared Thermometer - Accurate Temperature Readings for Cooking, Kiln and HVAC - Digital Laser IR Temperature Gun with Adjustable Emissivity

🔥【High Measurable Range 】: AN-1800C industrial high temp gun can measure from -58°F to 3272°F/ from -50 to 1800°C, you can choose the unit from °F/°C A built-in laser gives you the precision to hone in on the exact space you want to measure.*Surface temperature for nonliving objects only. Not accurate temperature reading for human/animals.*. 🔥【Wide Applications】: The distance to spot ratio is 50:1 meaning the laser 1800C can accurately measure targets at larger measurement area with the same distance compared with other thermometers with others. It is very suitable for high temperature environments such as metal smelting furnaces, kilns, castings, etc. On the other hand, it can better pay attention to your safety issues. 🔥【Versatile Temp Tester 】: Measuring functions with MAX/MIN/AVG, Data Hold, Backlight, flashlight, High/low temperature alarm, besides, extremely instant read in 0.25 second, which is 2 times faster than others. 🔥【Long Service Life 】: The LCD screen is backlit and the laser thermometer gun also has an auto-off function to extend the battery life and features a low battery indicator so you never accidentally run out of juice. (battery included). 🔥【Practical IR Laser Gauge】- Class II laser, optical power <0.5mW. Wavelength 630~670 um. 12 months warranty and life-time tech supports are provided.

Nonconformity: Test, Measure and Verify

Using these changed readings more than I expected. Repeated measurement of the temperature at the same distance leads to a deviation between the readings by 3-7 degrees. I didn't have a reference meter to determine if the readings were accurate.

Pretty good infrared thermometer.

There are many different options to choose from to measure the temperature of different objects. I wanted to see if our oven was heating up properly, and boom, I checked and it did. We also have a pellet stove and wanted to see how hot it gets. You must be careful not to let the light get into people's eyes as it may cause damage, but you may get temperature, heat or cold. I will try baking and cooking! So, in the end I give this infrared thermometer 5 stars.

  • GOLS certified

good tool. accurate and consistent.

I often use infrared thermometers to calibrate transfer presses and in the kitchen. I have several but this is my favorite now. I can use the minimum temperature or differential scan to make sure my t-shirt presses heat up evenly, which is a feature I didn't originally think I would use at all. To test its accuracy, I painted the aluminum heatsink with matte black paint and put it in a pot of ice water for about 3 minutes, checked the temperature and it was constant 32.2 degrees, then I lowered

  • Practical infrared laser sensor

  • Unfashionable

Before use, the pyrometer must be calibrated

This pyrometer appears to register temperatures above actual temperature for a given emissivity. I tested this pyrometer at ambient temperature and 300 degrees Fahrenheit with another pyrometer that was calibrated and accurate. At ambient temperature, the error was about 10 degrees. At 300 degrees Fahrenheit, the error was about 40 degrees. I could not check the pyrometer over the entire range because my muffle furnace was not burning. Pyrometers are notoriously inaccurate. The biggest problem…

Pros
  • Large measuring range
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Sometimes I don't need my thermal gun/camera and when I don't need it I don't like carrying it around. In such circumstances, a good and reliable temperature gun will do what I need. Of course, there are many temperature guns with different performance, build quality and price. I have two slightly cheaper timer pistols and while they are good too, this one from AIOMEST is clearly an improvement in terms of build quality and materials used. The plastic used is a high quality plastic with a…
