🔥 Accurate Wood Stove Thermometer for Optimal Oven Temperatures, Stove Meter for Wood Burning Stoves: Prevent Overheating, Preserve Stove Fan Review

So maybe I'm missing something, but the device turns very easily and loses the calibration completely. I want to know if I've overlooked something.

This does not read the temperature accurately. When it read about 200 degrees, I checked the spot with a non-contact infrared thermometer, which read more than 350. Not even close to accurate, a waste of money.

My appliance may be defective but if you turn the thermometer with the magnet attached to your wood stove the temperature will turn with it! So the thermometer can read 500F and if I turn it clockwise I can read 300F. I have no way of truly recalibrating unless I buy another thermometer. USELESS!

This thermometer has a strong magnet and attaches to the side of my small iron wood stove. I'm in a 30 foot trailer on wheels so I need to keep an eye on how hot my stove is getting. He tells me when to throw an extra piece of wood into the fire by looking at the "needle". If it goes straight up, it's very warm here, no firewood is needed. It is very good

I bought this for my wood stove to make sure it burns efficiently and there is a magnet on the back so it sticks well to my chimney so I can control the temp can read on the sofa. It has a handy scale that indicates the range you should aim for when shooting, so you can better determine how to operate your burner. If you are a new logging user, this will be of great help to you.

I've had one of these for years so I decided to buy two more for my stove and a friend's stove. They are very easy to read and appear to read consistently, although I have not verified that they are absolutely accurate. Small but very functional. A great investment to keep your wood stove at a consistent temperature and prevent overheating/underburning. Great product and highly recommended!

I found that the needle wasn't very accurate if the sensor was twisted when attached to the oven. In other words, the mechanism was not tied to the frame. So when you use the attached handle, the mechanism rotates. I used an infrared thermometer and got decent readings, then rotated the sensor to adjust. Then I fix the move. It's okay, but I've been a tech for 30 years to make sure everything is read correctly, so maybe I have a little OCD.

While this appears fairly accurate, it is too small to read easily. Its size is a little weird (2.5 inches) and the colors don't help in the legibility department. I suggest finding something that is a) bigger and b) has a better color combination. For example, optimal performance should be green, overheating should be red, etc. Not just orange and black. Two stars for this item. If it's not easy to read, it's not easy to use. I'm just not impressed with this purchase and not worth going back…
