Great product suitable for thermometer

I bought this item to get pipe temp readings in HVAC systems and it works just as well as expensive items. I am very satisfied with this temperature sensor.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • not trendy

Garbage. Don't waste your time and money

Inaccurate. weak connections. Slow. He held the temperature gauge between his thumb and forefinger and read 75 degrees. I think I have severe hyperthermia in Texas in September. It happens all the time.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Reliability

Cheap Probes Scuttle This Tool

Having a gauge that reads over 1000 degrees Fahrenheit is great, except when the plastic on the sensors melts with continuous readings like this. If your probes are polarized, you may want to secure them to prevent incorrect insertion.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great little thermometer!

I needed to monitor the temperature in a reflow oven for home projects. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, but the device had to withstand temperatures of up to 300 degrees Celsius. This very economical device came with 4 temperature probes, two of which were intended to measure the temperature of my oven for my project. I'm glad I found this handy device.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Expensive

So far so good with the thermometers

I have only used this unit to measure the temperature before and after the evaporative coil (home air conditioner) and have found that the air conditioner is doing its job (too different from the ventilation system). This device would probably be great for measuring the temperature of the high/low lines from the outside, but it wasn't necessary (yet).

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Minor issues

Pretty good, with a potentially annoying bug

Works very well. If you're working with high-temperature applications and wearing thick gloves, the buttons are large and well-spaced so they're still easy to press. I haven't found a way to turn off the "Battery Saver" auto-off feature, which can be frustrating for prolonged temperature readings. This device can track minimum, maximum, and average temperatures over time, but these stats are reset each time it is turned off to conserve battery life. In my experience, minimum temperature stats…

This tool saved me from time pressure and mental gymnastics. Part of the fridge freezer didn't work for temperature control but was variable. The mechanic says everything is fine when he shows up and tests. I know I get melted ice sometimes but he says it seems to work. I've used this to confirm temperature swings of up to 45 degrees, apparently in a defrost sequence, got a new fridge and confirmed the evolving temperature profile. This indicated that I needed new data in addition to…

not bad for the price

I used this to measure the temperature of the air conditioning line at the inlet and outlet of the evaporator to measure superheat. The connectors must be inserted in the correct direction or you will get bad readings. There are no markings on the plugs. Once you determine the correct orientation, both thermocouples will be within 2 tenths of a degree of each other. (0.2'F) I haven't measured accuracy against a standard, just relative to each other. I taped the ends of the tubes to get good…
