Works pretty well. If you're working with high-temperature applications and wearing thick gloves, the buttons are large and well-spaced so they're still easy to press. I haven't found a way to turn off the "Battery Saver" auto-shutoff feature, which can be frustrating when taking temperature for long periods of time. This device can track minimum, maximum, and average temperatures over time, but these stats are reset each time it is turned off to conserve battery life. In my experience, minimum temperature stats don't work properly when the thermocouple is disabled. connected when the device is turned on because the temperature shows maybe 10-20 degrees for a split second and resets the stats.
