I installed a Hunter ceiling fan that has 3 settings: high, low and too slow to change anything. This controller fixes that so there really are medium and low settings. I felt a bit fooled when I saw that there are 12 bars for fan speed when actually there are only 3, but it doesn't matter. The remote control sometimes stops working because the battery compartment opens by itself. I wrote it down but don't know how good it is. The adhesive tape also interferes with inserting the remote control into the holder. The holes for attaching the holder are arranged differently than those for the light switch. Fan control is great! There is a timer, thermostat and manual setting. Lighting control, on the other hand, requires a lot of help. The transition from 100% to 20% is too fast. There should be up/down buttons to brighten the light INSTEAD of long presses to dim. If you want to go from 20% to 30% and go back to 24% you have to go ALL THE WAY back to 100% and then back to 24% with the gauge moving VERY fast. to get the right number. Works as expected. The "software" will benefit from updates - the remote will adjust the light "down" and then "up". It's a little annoying not being able to "go up" without selecting the "minimum" setting.
