The remote control sometimes stops working because the battery compartment opens by itself. I wrote it down but don't know how good it is. The adhesive tape also interferes with inserting the remote control into the holder. The holes for attaching the holder are arranged differently than those for the light switch. Other brands cover the light switch to encourage others to use the remote control instead. I would like a backlight. The dimmer is not as smooth as with a well-known brand, but works perfectly. The receiver was small enough to fit on a fan mount - I was worried it wouldn't fit. You may need to flip it as it only fits one way. Installation was very quick and easy which eliminated another problem. Works great with my 3 speed fan. The only true. I just wish there was a good fix for the battery cover (the remote will be wrong in its settings after the batteries burst).
