Thermpweb Heat'n Bond medium weight iron.

I was working on a large project that required a lot of pinning. I ordered this and some other fixing materials. This Heat'n Bond was much better at fixation retention and was easy to use. I've worked mostly with cotton fabrics and haven't had any problems with shrinkage or discoloration. The package was quite big, it had enough material to glue even with my mistakes. I re-fused a few pieces and they stayed fused. However, it is important to follow these guidelines. I would buy this product…

It works but not my favorite

I use it as an interlayer in making sheet masks. It's really not the best fabric for it and I've switched 2 different irons to get it working. I prefer cotton interlinings and for a long time that was all I could get. It can be used, but sometimes it shrinks, puffs up or shrinks when you try to merge it and becomes fuzzy, sometimes causing thread clutter and machine crashes as well. I make sure to get as many seams as possible so my customers don't try to iron them later. Although it will hold…

This is a product that didn't exist when our ancestors made blankets. There is a different "look" when you use it for an applique. This allows you to create serious angles that would be difficult with traditional quilting. I use this product for fusible applications. It is ironed onto a cloth backing. Then it is sewn to the fabric. It needs to be crosslinked for long lasting results. There are many different brands of interfaces on the market. I've tried many of these. I keep coming back to…
