I work with VW and Audi all day, hope this tool works but be aware this tool will not fit newer models, oldest car arrived at dealership in 1995, still doesn't fit. The threads of the tools are much smaller than the threads of the union nuts. So stay tuned.

Sometimes I like to see a product that solves a real problem and then wonder why you don't do it. Don't think about it yourself because it's so simple. I use this on my BMW. Is it possible to mount wheels without them? Yes. But since I only work on my car without wheel studs (mostly I work on trucks etc.) I enjoy not having to search for the right line or worry about my wheel falling off the car while I turn to go grab the bolts. You don't have to have them. But I bought it and would buy it…

If you need to mount at least one wheel once, you need a guide pin first. It's worth it. Especially on my big 315mm wide 20" wheels for my X5 the guide pin makes a world of difference. I use them on my 2004 BMW E46 M3 and they work well. Fresh out of the box the first one was bent on first use. It looks like a manufacturing defect as I installed the other three wheels with a different pin in this set of two and had no problems.I sent the photo to Thexton and they sent me a replacement straight…
