Excellent quality BUT the largest plunger is NOT silicone

I'll start with a minus - the biggest pear for the biggest dropper is categorically NOT silicone. I have a severe allergy to latex/natural rubber (think hives, breathing issues) and this pear is definitely natural rubber. My hands are itchy from just touching it. That sucks, because finding a lightbulb big enough that isn't made out of rubber is going to be a challenge. Everything else is just fantastic. I work and teach in a clinical laboratory, so I know glassware. They are as good as what I…

Pros
  • High Quality: The pipettes are made of borosilicate glass, thick and durable.
Cons
  • Some bugs

The pipettes were well packaged and appear to be well constructed. I bought these to get accurate measurements for homemade perfumes and thought they would be more accurate than drops from essential oil dropper bottles. These are my first pipettes so I'm learning as I go, but I'm having a really hard time matching oils to gauge lines - air bubbles completely change the reading and I seem to be measuring inaccurately even holding air bubbles. I've spent a lot of time filling and emptying them…

Pros
  • Versatile: Large reservoir for absorbing and dispensing liquids. Applicable for testing labs, chemistry, microbiology, liquids, flavors and more.
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Found chemistry professor instructions

I wanted to pour the exact amount of water into the bowl to check my scale, which reads hundredths of a gram. The markings on my old 1mL pipette have faded. I was unfamiliar with pipette droppers. I couldn't get exactly as much as I needed and squeezing out a little gives me air down. An online article for chemistry students explains that instead of putting the plunger on the neck of the pipette, you press it against the tip. This allows you to quickly replace the liquid with your fingertip…
