Review on Graduated Thick Glass Dropper Pipettes by Ricardo Knight

Found chemistry professor instructions

I wanted to pour the exact amount of water into the bowl to check my scale, which reads hundredths of a gram. The markings on my old 1mL pipette have faded. I was unfamiliar with pipette droppers. I couldn't get exactly as much as I needed and squeezing out a little gives me air down. An online article for chemistry students explains that instead of putting the plunger on the neck of the pipette, you press it against the tip. This allows you to quickly replace the liquid with your fingertip after brewing. Then it's the Mohr pipette, where you let in air to draw the liquid to the right line. If the pipette drains too quickly, it will be difficult to stop it exactly at the mark. it drains more slowly when the level is only slightly higher than the level in the reservoir. For water, I prefer to use a 100ml cylinder for my reservoir as it is over 8 inches deep. In a shallow basin, I was able to slow the outflow by pushing the dropper down. Liquids where precision is not required. I was having trouble finding the "complete" line. It would be easier if the glass wasn't marked an inch above this line. I'm less upset because I've found how easy it is to read an eyedropper against a plain white backlit background.
