$30 for a $3 wire. Rip off.

Low rating due to absurdly high price. Should be $10 max. It's a slap in the face that this wasn't included with the purchase of the camera or available at a reasonable price, especially considering it's a necessary part to enable the "parking mode" features. Thinkware even uses a fully proprietary camera connection, forcing you to buy one instead of hacking your own line. In fact, I'm so confident in it that I'm avoiding Thinkware at all for future dashcam purchases. I was able to install it…

You must purchase this to get the most out of your DVR.

The only practical way to have a DVR is to connect it. With this kit you can do just that. This is not necessarily a complete kit as you will need a fuse drop cable so you can connect the dash cam to the fuse box for power. Installation isn't too difficult if you watch a few YouTube videos. I wouldn't just rely on the instructions that came with it. Thanks to this kit, I can turn on the parking mode, which records when the car's engine is off. That's the key to your protection, because a lot of

Expensive. That does not work. money thrown away.

After the product sat untouched in my office for several months (until I had time to install it), I installed it and it doesn't work at all. Tried to install with a backup. Install exactly as directed in the video, paper instructions. It does not work. Fuse current checked. It works fine there. After that tested. No electricity. defective product. A lot of time and money spent. I think I'm stuck. Either spend more money or just connect without parking mode. ***Update: I finally opened up the…

Buy two extra fuses for a clean, professional look. I used a regular mini fuse instead of a low profile fuse simply because I like the extra fit and flexibility with the space in the Honda Accord's already cramped fuse box. Mind you if you go my way make sure you have regular mini fuses to replace the fuse you are taking out/adding as a mini low profile will not match your regular mini fuse. I connected the red wire to the DRL fuse and the yellow wire to the window fuse. Works as intended. Make

I recently bought a Thinkware F800Pro and wanted to connect it to enable recording in parking mode. This accessory has a 3-pin connector: ground, battery and ACC (Senses Ignition). Each of the power cables (battery and battery) have built-in glass fuses, so your camera is protected. You can connect power cords directly to the fuse box by wrapping the end of the cord around the fuse leg on the hot (battery) side and then plugging in the fuse. However, using a fuse holder with an additional…
