Best Outdoor Socks

These are by far the best socks I have ever worn. My feet are actually cold after a workout and I take off my shoes but leave my socks on. I've been wearing Balega socks for a few years and they were good enough for tennis and running, but I decided to find an even better (or just as good but cheaper) sock. I have ordered pairs from multiple brands and nothing compares to these. Note that these are also the thinnest socks I've tried. So if you are used to thick socks and have shoes to…

Good socks at Outdoor Recreation

So I ride about 50 miles a day about 350 days a year. My previous socks were more expensive, from a sporting goods store, and lasted seven years. They don't sell them anymore so I looked for something similar and found these. The price is fantastic for three pairs of socks. They are also the size I expected. I wear size 10 shoes and the large socks fit perfectly. Nice and cozy but not too crowded. These socks are lightweight and dry quickly. They are comfortable and very attractive. They are…

Heat appears to affect them adversely

The label on the package indicates they CANNOT be tumble dried. I refuse to wash my clothes in the washing machine and then fish out a pair of socks before throwing them in the dryer. The label also says to dry in the shade. I don't know about you, but I don't have a line to dry my clothes. They seem to be sensitive to heat. I drive in California and some days it can get pretty hot. Do I need to worry about them being outside in the heat while I'm driving? If it had been stated in the…

Great cycling socks

Based on the reviews I didn't know which size to buy. I'm a woman and I wear a size 9, almost the size of all brands. I bought socks in a large size (from 9 to 12) because I don't like socks that are too tight. You are perfect. When I put them on and don't stretch them, they fit perfectly heel to heel. When I pull them up they get quite large and the heel rises over my heel on bumps. It's nice that it's cold when there's room to cover my ankles in the wind while riding. I prefer to just slip…

Three times more socks for the money

After paying $20 for 1 pair of Giro socks, I knew what I was getting. Socks, I wondered what could be so special about them that they were worth so much money. Well after buying these 3 packs for the same money I understood the answer. Nothing. These socks are perfect for riding and you get 3 pairs for the price of 1 pair of popular brand socks. Thin, comfortable, breathable and stretchy, they offer great value and great style (if that's important to you). Others note that they are very thin…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Nice socks, but your shoes might not fit.

Nice socks. I wear size 13 shoes, size XL fits me. I have always worn cotton socks. These are much thinner. This will make you feel everything you may not have noticed before. Also, my cycling shoes almost didn't fit and barely matched these socks. Let's see how they hold up. I need to change my running shoes before I rate the socks in them. They also dry very quickly and overall I would probably buy them again. Since over a year. I sort the 6 pairs I bought, spin, exercise and walk around the…

Recommended for Cycling S Update Message6hoes

Being new to cycling shoes I had no idea what I was getting into. Luckily I bought a great pair of socks that fit and work as advertised. I have small feet, ladies 5, sometimes I have to buy children's shoes depending on the style, I buy small ones and they fit perfectly. I wish they had a different size pack for my husband to try but he will buy a few in his size although they say I can only speak for women, I will update when he finally decides to get them! They're tailored to keep your feet…

The best socks for cycling, they last forever!

I am an avid road cyclist and have tried many, many brands of socks over the years. Nothing lasted. I first bought them about 7 years ago (shorter haircut than this one). I walked around the house with it. I walked them short distances outdoors. To this day they have no holes, no tears, no tears. You haven't lost any shape or form, the gum still works perfectly! You've been through many, many washes. They survived four pairs of cycling shoes. I'm not sure if they're antimicrobial, but they…

Great socks! Make sure you wear them correctly!

I love these socks! I wear them for cycling in my Sidi cycling shoes and they fit me great. I wear top brand cycling socks but I have found that the seams can be uncomfortable at times. These socks from Thirty48 don't have that problem, perhaps because they are shaped and marked for the right and left foot. At first I thought it looked like a gimmick, but I really think it allows them to fit each foot better without any loose material and stay snug without being too tight. They are quite…
