We used to use timers from Pampered Chef but they're no longer available so we found this one. We use it for laundry reminders, in the kitchen and also as an alarm clock. It's loud enough to be heard when you're in another room. I will buy more of these! They are amazing!

Agree, this timer is very similar to the retired Pampered Chef timer. Can't say anything about durability yet, got it yesterday. I didn't realize when I ordered that it didn't sit flat, not that much. I tried sticking it to the fridge - no, it just fell off. I noticed that another reviewer said it has a strong magnet. At least not my experience.

Finally, our last holy Pampered Chef Direct Entry Kitchen Timer has kicked up the dust. We tried several replacement units and they were either too big or too loud. Then we found this one! Despite being a bit larger than the old Pampered Chef, it has a very strong magnet, an easy-to-use button interface (buttons are VERY responsive), and the alarm doesn't go off for everyone in the house. . All in all it's a good replacement and we're very happy with it.
