Easy installation after drilling and tapping

Used to repair damaged threads in an aluminum can end. Easy installation after drilling and tapping. The screws did not twist during installation. I had to buy more inserts to finish both sides and bought the Heli-Coil brand. This causes the bolts to bind. Thread on the screws tore off and had to be redone.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Fits

works perfectly! amazing price.

Cheaper than the spiral coil for the same product! came with a bundle of coils, a tap and a tool to screw the coil into place. I used this to fix broken bolt threads on the rear hub of an old Vespa (cast aluminum). Stainless steel coils. You need to purchase the required 21/64" drill bit yourself. I have this Bosch drill: http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-CO2148-64-Inch-Cobalt-Jobber/dp/B000AEQQX6/

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • Everything ok

Excellent quality, works much better than above.

Excellent quality, worked much better than over the counter versions from China. Used to repair the studs on my BMW 535M M30B35, something I happily avoided the price at the auto shop for, this is also not a very common version of the engine. Also saved me from having to pull my head off the block, which I had done before recently and didn't want to do it again before riding it! The new headers sound amazing and the cleats hold tight! do

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Negative impression

Good product. I've used them to fix stretched threads.

Great product. I've used them to fix tight threads on 3 different used gearboxes (all aluminum cases). I was able to successfully repair a small thread (m8) to a larger engine mount thread (M14). They are very strong but you have to be careful when installing them. The inserts are tightly coiled springs. So if you try to push them in you risk breaking the winding and ruining the insert. Regardless, my most recent repair took less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Hard to say
