Defective Sensor Causes Engine Malfunction

When I tried this replacement part, my vehicle's performance declined significantly. The sensor failed to accurately relay the position of the throttle, leading to engine misfires and intermittent stalling. Although the price was reasonable, the potential damage to my car`s engine and my safety outweighed the cost savings..

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Defective, Poor Performance

Faulty Sensor Ruins Engine Performance

According to my experience, this sensor caused my car to surge and stall. It did not provide accurate readings and affected my fuel efficiency. The only positive is that it was easy to install... However the negative effects of this sensor greatly outweigh any convenience. Overall, I would not recommend this product..

Pros
  • Accurately measures the position of the throttle for smooth engine performance.
Cons
  • May require professional installation due to complex wiring and calibration process.

20 minutes start to finish

This throttle position sensor was much cheaper than replacing the entire throttle body on a 6 liter Chevy 2500 HD. You simply remove the TB from the air intake for about 3 minutes and drill out the old rivets (easy), remove the old sensor and mount the new one in its place with the screws provided. Reassemble to the intake and connect the factory wiring harness, done. Reset your code and no more service ads

Pros
  • Free for training purposes
Cons
  • Low repairability
