Small is good for backpacks

I'm new to buying backpacks by the liter. 25 liters sounded good when you imagine 25 liter bottles fitting in this backpack (no way). But it's just a small backpack. I can put my 15" laptop in the main compartment and my fleece jacket in the second (and last) compartment and run out of space. If you like a small bag, the quality is ok. I sent this back and received the 32 liter counterpart as I love the looks and performance.

Pretty comfortable on a laptop Accessories

Bought for a larger windows laptop. Great fit. Lots of pockets for random items. Hell you can even put 2 laptops in this baby. And it's waterproof. Take the Florida! Edit: That was half a year ago now. Been with me on many trips. The thing holds. A cat peed on it once, so I threw it in the laundry with no problem. It's waterproof so I've used it as an umbrella a few times. Came back to check max laptop size as I'm interested in upgrading my laptop. The thing is worth it.

Good laptop bag but the front flap pocket needs to be further zipped.

I bought this bag for a 14 inch laptop and an 11 inch MacBook Air. The bag was perfect for storing both of those devices, but didn't have enough front pockets to sort all the small computer parts I have. I ended up sending this bag back because the front flap only half closes, preventing you from grabbing things that fell to the bottom of the bag without scratching your hand on everything else that's there. If they had allowed 3/4 venting I would have kept this bag even without the organizer…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

I've had this bag for a few years now and it's been great while it lasted. Bought because of Thule's reputation and pocket rating. The zipper on the main compartment has recently opened and is out of order. Thule claims to have a lifetime warranty but I've contacted them twice with no response. I paid significantly more for this bag than others due to Thule's reputation, but it looks like the bag and Thule let me down. UPDATE January 17, 2018 - still no email response from Thule, BUT - you've…

Well built, well designed, feels expensive, love it!

I bought this as a gift for a friend who is very fond of this brand. The bag is well designed and well sewn, you feel expensive when you see it and see the construction materials. I measured it with my 13.3 inch Dell E6330 laptop and an extra battery and as you can see it fits and even has some extra space so it probably even fits 15 inch laptops. The space is soft so your laptop doesn't have to suffer. I was also curious about the tablet case. Added a photo of the Ipad Pro with case. He comes!

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Something is wrong

OK, the bag arrived damaged

I bought this bag about a month ago and only today had the opportunity to open the box and look at the bag. The first thing I noticed was that the seams on one of the straps had already come undone in some places (see photo). The second thing that caught my eye was all the loose and extra threads hanging from a lot of the connections on the back that I don't think were ever cut during production. I can't believe this bag passed the manufacturer's quality check. Anyway, I just trimmed any loose…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • There are nuances

Good functional bag, questionable durability, good warranty

I really like this bag for many of the same reasons others have posted here. This is a very serious laptop bag with lots of compartments and organization. I use it every day to and from work and have taken it as a daypack on many trips abroad when exploring new cities. My only complaint and the reason I deducted 2 stars is the perceived durability of the product. Lightning, as others have pointed out, seems to be the most common source of error. The zippers in the main compartment broke and the

Light and roomy but the straps need more padding

I bought this backpack to take to a conference after reading many reviews here and about this and other backpacks and I was racking my brains about my choice. This decision almost killed me, but I'm glad I chose the Thule 317 and I can recommend it with a few reservations. It's difficult to choose a bag for a conference. Not only do you need something to securely store your devices, chargers, water bottles, snacks and any promotional items you buy at the event, you also need unobtrusive…
