Using this product, our team found that it was perfect for our Sports and Outdoors activities! The waterproof bag keeps our gear dry and protected from the elements. I have to admit they worked well. I bought them for a unique moose hunt to use on mountain bikes. Basically hunting for about 30 days, getting in and out of a truck, constantly opening and closing bags to get stuff. My friend had Ortlieb panniers and I think the two complaints I would have with these Thule(s) compared to his is that the Thule "handle" to get them off the bike is a flimsy rope with a hose around it. Of course the string seems pretty strong and has held up... it just feels cheap.

It's great to have a bag with an outside pocket. Arkel makes some that can beat these, but I think the price is too. Also, while largely stormproof, they have a smaller structure. These Shield bags require larger wheels and a frame as the back of the bag will stretch and roll on the axle of an English bike, Nantucket bike etc. These Thule bags have a laptop compartment, a tablet compartment, a large mesh pocket and two small mesh pockets.
