This reel took 3 passes before going flat.

This scooter survived 3 rides before it went flat and had to be replaced. I have a 700 lb aluminum boat and it didn't survive 3 starts before the thin aluminum tube kinked in the nylon and prevented the boat from rolling off the trailer as intended. I would buy a Stoltz reel 10 times before buying this reel. Stay away from it. The only support for your boat's weight are the two plastic bushings at the ends.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly dented

Fits great, rolls freely, buy bolts and nuts as a kit.

Fits great, galvanized well made, rolls freely. When loading I had to lift the nose of the jet ski by hand and the gelcoat had a small dent from contact with the trailer frame. This role made it easier to load and unload the watercraft and also prevented damage to the expensive gelcoat. If you're buying this to add to your trailer, plan a trip to the hardware store for 1/2-inch stainless steel bolts, nuts, and washers. This one worked so well I'm buying another to put on the back of my trailer.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No performance

Poor quality and fit.

I don't know if I bought the only one by mistake that nobody checked or if they are usually like that. The 3" slot spacing is the CENTER of the slot - just above the edge of my 3" trailer frame. So you can't install it unless you drill or rub too much. The roller shaft was too wide - there was nearly an inch of clearance between the bracket and the roller. That was the most expensive junk I've bought in a long time. Since I'm repairing a trailer and can't keep up, I swap the linkage and rebuild

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
