Works great - Wood Filler

I have used many high quality wood fillers but this product is by far the best. I work with a lot of figured maples and grain separation can be an issue. This product does a fantastic job. Slightly sanded. I would dilute it a bit with a few drops of water to give you more time to work. Well polished and varnished. The only problem is it really stinks. Use it outdoors and wear rubber gloves. You don't want this getting on your skin as the smell is really hard to get rid of. Otherwise best…

Fairly Bad Smells Good for Hardware

This material is fine. DAP makes a very similar product called Universal Wood Filler (also water based). The biggest problem I have is the smell. The DAP product is a lot less offensive - note I'm talking about DAP water treatment material, not the original DAP plastic wood. I don't think the smell is harmful but I use it in residential areas and it gives me a headache even with quite a bit of exposure. Almost all wood spatulas, including this one, I would consider only suitable for painting.

Best wood filler I've ever used

I recently bought this based on a recommendation I saw online and am so happy I gave it a try. It seems to fill in small imperfections more easily than other products I've used. Can't speak to its ability to absorb stains as several projects I've used it on have been canceled, but it sands very smoothly and can even be used to smooth the edges of plywood fibers if thinned a bit becomes. I especially like the idea that if it starts to dry out I can fix it just by adding some water. I've thrown…

This is the best for hardware

I think I've written about this before and reviewed it but I still buy it. This product is absolute crap when it comes to filling cracks or holes. I've used this from filling in the tiniest grains in finished furniture to actually filling in a stepped beam in a house. The product blends so well and has such a short drying time that you can finish your project in no time. insanely cold temps and thought it wouldn't work in spring but i mixed some water with it and it came back to life giving the

The best product on the market.

Aside from the non-product shipping, THIS is the best! and dried in the dark. Everything would be fine if I painted. It really saved my ass. You can't even tell it's there! It was very easy to use, reconstituted with water for easy application and cleanup. There were tight corners that were easy to smooth out with just a fingertip, wiping off the excess with a damp paper towel and I probably didn't even have to sand. I've used this before with great results but never expected it to mattify so…

Nothing to say here. I have tried many different fillers. Timbermate is the best without question. The price is about the same as others (I don't compare it to cheap fillers that you buy and throw away almost immediately) Pros: 1. Even if it dries up in a jar, you can always easily revive it 2. I don't know why, but by some miracle Fits in much better with Color of the tree than other fillers I've used Especially red oak, walnut and maple - almost no difference 3. Easier to apply than other…
