long-term view! - Clock

UPDATE (November 30, 2019) I just changed the battery again, the watch still works fine including the indigo colored button. UPDATE (October 11, 2018) Just a month after writing this review, I was on vacation with my family. I spent a lot of time in the pool with this watch. I think the water may have loosened the indigo knob because it started working again. I have upgraded this rating to 4 stars, the only bad thing about this watch is the poor quality strap. had to change battery last year…

Reliable, legible, lightweight and easy to use

I bought one of these just over two years ago. I have a "Black and Gray Quick Pack" strain and I beat it to death. I wear it to work where they get beaten, grabbed by things and generally abused six days a week. It still works well, the face is well preserved with only minor scratches and the velcro is still holding up great (which I was worried about). First). The fabric that holds the watch to the strap has loosened up a bit over time, but given the number of times I tug and snap at my hand…

I used to like the Timex T48042 but not anymore.

It was the perfect watch. Large display, great functions, reliable, inexpensive. Every function of every T48042 I've had worked great. They serve me for several years until the watch strap tears, the dial is scratched more than I would like or the control buttons no longer work properly. But I always got a wonderful life from them. I love them so much I've bought nine of them in the last ten years. I now have four in reserve so I can continue using this model after Timex decides to discontinue…
