Job done on tire repair tool

First of all I can agree with the one star rating that this tool is not built to last. But after spending three days prying the valve stem through a hole in my motorcycle rim, this little Hummer did the job in five minutes and is worth its weight in gold to me. For the price I order a few extras and have them on hand in case one breaks. At the same time, be careful when ordering similar tools, as the nuts are too large in diameter at their ends to fit through the hole in some rims.

With some lube it slides straight

I wish I had had this product many years ago. Has saved my joints and discs from scrapes and the need for touch ups. In either case, to install the valve stem, you simply remove the valve core, insert a tool through the hole in the rim, screw the tool into the stem, grease the hole, and thread it through. MUCH easier than doing it by hand. I tried another valve stem puller but couldn't get it loose so I got stuck. This one is way better. I see in other reviews that people say their cable is…

A very useful tool

I recently had to fit a tubeless motorcycle tire onto a spoked rim that required a tube. The sidewall of this tire was so stiff that I just couldn't get enough tire to rim clearance to put the valve stem through this rim and I have mounted very long motorcycle tires. This little tool is the only thing that ultimately made this job possible. With most tire and tube combos I've ever fitted this tool would be considered a pure luxury, but in this case it has become a necessity. A very useful tool…

Great part to slide the valve stem through the small hole in the rim. Makes the "impossible " possible.

Great part to slide the valve stem through a small hole in the rim that looks smaller than the stem when you are trying to push it through. I couldn't do it with one hand, and I don't have many hands either. So I bought this item and was able to do it. It still requires a bit of tweaking and tension, but that's why this grip and steel cable is as strong as it gets. As my title suggests, this tool makes the "impossible" possible with little effort.

More difficult to use than it should be

This tool is essential when you need to change inner tube tyres. I bought this to replace an older brand that broke after years of use. The main problem with this is that the brass fitting that screws into the valve stem doesn't include a cable like my old one did. This makes screwing it into the valve stem very awkward, as the entire train has to be turned. It doesn't seem like much unless you have to try and thread the bent cable through the valve stem hole in the rim. I would recommend…

I have used the tackle 4 times. It works and saved my joints for inserting the tube. Some thoughts should be used when using it for the first time. Make sure the tip of the "core" reaches very far and don't let it enter the rim until it's inside the tube. One problem I've encountered is that the "core" tip is firmly attached to the cable. This means that the entire cable must be able to twist as it is pulled into the valve stem. Sometimes it's pain. I have a few slight kinks in the cable as a…
