I have used the tackle 4 times. It works and saved my joints for inserting the tube. Some thoughts should be used when using it for the first time. Make sure the tip of the "core" reaches very far and don't let it enter the rim until it's inside the tube. One problem I've encountered is that the "core" tip is firmly attached to the cable. This means that the entire cable must be able to twist as it is pulled into the valve stem. Sometimes it's pain. I have a few slight kinks in the cable as a result, but the tool has proven its worth, threading the stem through the rim is much easier with this tool than without.
