There are many false positives in the system. Two wheels say they are leaking (low pressure) but checking with a pressure gauge shows they are fine. I think at least two sensors are defective. Calls to the manufacturer went unanswered.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No instructions

A good product. Bought it for our caravan.

Good product. Bought this for our caravan to keep quiet when travelling. I didn't have to use the included signal booster with my Chevy 2500HD and 26ft RV. The audio cues are great and also offer visual queuing. The battery life is long and the device turns off automatically after a period of inactivity.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Modern

Highly recommend TireMinder A1A TPMS

Purchased August 2015. I was driving on a dual carriageway when the TPMS alarm went off. The front tire on the passenger side quickly lost air. I pulled off the freeway and found an empty parking lot to change my tire. The TPMS system prevented serious tire damage and possibly an accident. I am very comfortable. The problem with the tire was a broken valve stem. I didn't have a metal valve stem as recommended by the TPMS manufacturer. I replaced the bars on all tires with metal bars.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • So far so good

Didn't warn us about accessories and details

We'd love to return this, I don't know if it's too late. We've had it for several months and by calling the company we figured out how to finally fit it into our truck. We travel quite a bit with our caravan. We had a few breakouts and this element didn't show us a warning or heads up. We fixed the problems we had with blown tires by paying almost three thousand dollars for repairs that were needed after the tires blew out. We thought it would notify us if there's a problem, but we don't think…

While this is a good idea, we often get error messages.

That's a good idea, but we often get error messages after a short time. The unit provides accurate tire pressure readings, but then defaults to #5 (no reading) even though we professionally installed a booster on the front tongue of our 22-foot trailer. I want to give this product a higher rating because I believe safety is important. I love that the device is very portable and comes in a nice carrying case. Calibrating tires with the device was not difficult.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not the best

So far so good, just installed on my tractor

So far so good, just installed on my tractor, waiting for a trailer tire change before the installation completes. Installation was very easy would have given 5 stars but I don't like having to take it apart too completely to inflate if needed. Also, if you go through the car wash, luckily I wash myself. Update. Installed transmitters and boosters on RV (travel trailer), works great, reads all 8 tires with no problem. The booster even picks up tires from a tow truck parked over 50 feet from my…

I really like this system

I really like this system. The booster is a great idea and I haven't had any connection issues yet. I have a few issues, one of which is that I don't want to remove the lock nut on the back of the gauges so I have enough room to check air pressure with a mechanical gauge or inflate the tires with air. I think flow sensors would be a better idea. Another problem is that the pressure differential between the mechanical gauge and the pressure gauge is about five pounds. I run my RV tires at 105…

Saved from certain damage.

I appreciate Tire Minder and their customer and product support. In less than a year of installing their product, he saved my truck and trailer from what was undoubtedly catastrophic damage on two separate occasions. For the first time in weeks since installing the Tire Minder, the device warned me when I returned from camping that a trailer tire was losing pressure. On the freeway, I could stop as soon as the tire deflated. If I hadn't been warned, this tire would have caused hundreds of…
