. These are the correct adapters when trying to plug stereo into mixed XLR cables. You'll probably want to place them at the other end with an RCA output source, if only to take advantage of the better shielding of XLR cables. Tip: Use colored tape on the XLR connectors to mark the left and right cables. Of course your mixer should be able to assign left and right XLR inputs, many cheap (and not very cheap!) mixers don't have the ability to pan their XLR inputs.

Received these and thought they were very well done. Plugged them in and found they worked pretty well. Turned them off and thought WTF? It turned out to have fallen apart so I had to send it back. I may have received a bad set but other than that I think they might work for others. Unfortunately had to deduct stars for that.

Please note these are adapters and will not convert your unbalanced equipment to balanced. There is definitely some hissing that I hear through the speakers when I'm not using my laptop with my DJ controller. However, they are well made and work great with RCA in my JBL MKii.

They are very suitable for converting RCA cables to balanced inputs. I got new speakers that only had balanced inputs and I didn't want to invest in another set of cables to make them work great. Unfortunately, the signal is not completely balanced, but it delivers a very good sound. The metal construction looks like it will last for years. All in all, considering the price and build quality, everything is fine.
