This is a great purchase. The finish on the racks is not very good.

This is a great purchase. The finish on the pillars is not very good. There were scratches and nicks which will rust over time so I would recommend taking them off and storing them indoors when not in use.They are very sturdy and will work very well and that's what I wanted them for.If you want something pretty nice Finishes you should look at other options.Reading a lot of the negatives other people posted it seemed like most of the complaints were assembly related.I work on a variety ofโ€ฆ

Unsafe design. This means that you cannot safely transport large kayaks. Clarifications might make it better.

*UPDATE & WARNING:* I have a stance long enough to test on a 35 minute freeway speed drive in each direction, for a total of 70 minutes to the lake and back. per day in light winds (less than 10 mph). THE MEANS OF TRANSPORT ERRORED AND WAS NOT SAFE TO USE. I attached the rack to a set of Thule square bars. It was fixed as tightly as the wheels could turn. And the lock nuts were also tightened. Good but for assembly

This product has a good price and is very durable. But assembling it turned out to be a lot more difficult than it should have been. There are no instructions as mentioned in other reviews (I went through all the comments to see if anyone ever wrote instructions and since no one had any I will try to fix them later in the review). If you just want a guide then scroll down a bit. I'm used to picking things up and I'm pretty fast, so the problem wasn't on my side. First of all I think it isโ€ฆ

This is a great purchase. The finish on the racks is not very good.
