This kayak crossbar is a complete disappointment. The carrier would randomly slide around during transportation which led to the kayak slipping off multiple times. The locks did not stay secure and the rubber pads easily fell off even after minimal usage.

Definitely looks like cheaper stuff but does the job really well. The bracket that attaches them to your car's cross members is oddly shaped. Maybe designed for a round bar? My crossbars are very elongated so while working they only touch a small portion of the crossbars. Eventually I'm sure they'll slip.

The rails themselves are very easy to assemble and snap onto the bar very well, but straps are a different story, invest in ratchet straps. I was cruising down the freeway with their straps on and one just ripped me apart and threw the kayak in the middle of the freeway. Luckily my kayak hit someone's car and smashed the windshield and I didn't cause an accident and I already bought ratchet straps but I thought they were good enough, I was wrong
