I wanted to buy a Shure microphone (one of the best) for my upcoming seminar but the delivery wasn't quick enough. The reviews were good so I decided to give it a try. I've known mics and audio since I was a filmmaker and this mic really impressed me. It has a rich, deep range and is very clean. You could tell me this is an expensive, high quality microphone and I would believe it. Whether you use it for drunken karaoke at home or at a professional event, you will be very satisfied.

I bought 2 of these 3 months ago and they are great, quality materials, all metal, feels good in hand, good sound quality, I am impressed, they are better than expected It. Well made but works just as well as the price. It sounds very low and you need to connect to something that gives it enough power. Even using a preamp with maximum gain control, the volume is still a bit lower than the others. The cable also crackles a bit. Used my own cable and that solved the crackling. It seems fairly durable, doesn't feel cheap, but the sound is a bit muffled and volume is kept low. It's not loud enough. For the price I give 3 stars. It's the mic you give the kids to play…

Can't say it's professional studio quality but for the price these mics are fantastic! We've bought a home theater karaoke machine for when we have guests who want to play pranks on us, but the included microphones are complete crap. You can't move at all without getting audio feedback from the cables moving at the bottom of the mic, they're so cheap.
