Was it just bad?

Rubber handle broke on first use. Revain gave me a replacement. I don't know why the handle fell off. It broke where the blue and black rubber pieces meet.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not bad

Tool at the highest level.

Cats meow from special instruments. The tool works as advertised. Replacing the hoses on my Yukon XL (2007) and Mercedes Benz S430 was a breeze. Easier than ever, especially twisting and removing the hose.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons

Cheap tool. Avoid!

I have used this product twice. It worked the first time. The second time, when disconnecting the 1" water supply hose from the cylinder block, it broke off at the neck of the tool. Great idea for a tool, poor quality. I don't recommend.

  • Weight

Small tool can make a big difference

Small tool can make a big difference, I used it to remove (2) bilge hose clamps. I couldn't fit a straight screwdriver, but this simple tool helped me get my hand into a tight spot and break the seal on the fittings. You should have one of these in your toolbox if you need to remove a hose in a hard-to-reach spot.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • unreliable

A must for mechanical do-it-yourself idiots like me.

Many homemade uses of this tool. Much better done than it should be. Bust. Makes a great weapon. Don't let the security team miss it. NICE FAT GRIP DOES LESS THAN SKINNY WHEN USING MASSIVE POWER. Besides, the blue rubber cap is soft for a more comfortable grip and also has dimples. When reason fails, strength prevails. Always keep this in mind and life will be much easier.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers.
Cons
  • Minor issues.

You can't go wrong with this tool!

This tool worked great. Took me 9 minutes to remove 3 different radiator hoses. Those three hoses just wouldn't move no matter how hard I tried beforehand. I've even tried different sizes of flat head screwdrivers. None of them would fit in the limited space I had to deal with. This is a good long lasting product. The handle feels solid but feels good in the hand and stealing is also difficult. I would recommend this remedy.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Waste of money

Bought the tool almost a year ago and never used it, left it as is in the box. So last week my radiator broke and I started taking it apart. The moment the tool touched the edge of the hose, the tool broke in two without the use of force. Judging by the pictures, the design sucks. There is nothing connecting the blue handle to the black part of the tool and that failed here. Don't buy, you will too.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Repair

Very good for A/C line repair tools

Good for showing anything between a hose and a metal nipple, especially coolant hoses as they are larger. The shape allows you to work this spacer around the entire perimeter of the nipple/hose to break the seal so it can be easily removed later. It did not in any way damage the hoses I used it on, it was a Porsche Cayenne. The only problem is not to scratch the OD of the nipple too much with the tip of the tool. This happened to me and I had to sand to make it smooth again. I'll try to sand…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost never
