I'm learning MIG welding and my biggest problem is watching what I'm welding. The True Color technology is amazing. The darkness adjustment allows me to dial in the perfect hue for puddle and trail viewing. For this amateur, this is my investment so far.

Great helmet at a great price. The controls are easy to adjust, they stay in place with little adjustment, and they're comfortable and work. The only downside is that I have to disassemble it to remove the plastic wrap as it sticks to the outside of the glass making it difficult to remove otherwise.

I've only used it a couple of times but it does everything I expected. Lightning fast adjustable reaction time as well as adjustable darkness setting. Comfortable, large viewing window, the helmet is held with a nod and lowered as it should be. I like. Now I only have a small buzzbox. If I were a journeyman welder I would probably buy something stronger. But for us weekend warriors, that's normal.

I have been welding for many years and have already been through a lot. I bought the range hood for lack of money, I thought to myself, just to get something to get me through a few months. Well after using the auto darkening tool for a few weeks it is now better than most of the expensive range hoods I have used along the way. I bought this to use with the welder I bought so it was my first time as I had never welded before . I tested it when it arrived and it seemed to work well, good thing it came assembled which wasn't on my first helmet from another brand (which was returned due to defects). The helmet itself seems to work but the instructions for it are terrible. The instructions are typical Chinese instructions written by someone who doesn't understand English. And while it's possible to understand what the instructions are trying to say, for the most part it's more important that the instructions don't explain at all.
