On Accord and Odyssey V6 engines, Honda placed the serpentine belt tensioner just 5/8 inch from the side wall of the engine compartment. Nothing wider than a box wrench can get at the 14mm bolt to turn the tensioner, but the wrench needs even the slightest offset to work within tight limits and this wrench is just the ticket. And the opposite end fits a 17mm oil drain plug (although many other wrenches could work), so it's not a one-trick pony. The finish is highly polished chrome, and I didn't
that I know is called "drain wrench" but I bought it specifically to use as a serpentine belt tensioner tool on a 2006 Honda Accord my wife to use as the bolt on the pulley is 14mm long and requires extra wrench length to get the leverage needed to release the tension and remove/install the belt (and requires a low profile tool to access). ). It worked brilliantly for that purpose and I think it would also be useful as a low profile breaker for other 14mm and 17mm bolts I come across as these…
I liked that it was a 14mm/17mm wrench in one, just what I need in my field bag to carry the gear I work with and I need one all the time high leverage only in these two sizes. I'm happy with the low cost as it's the only tool that seems to work well enough for bindings and was fairly inexpensive to purchase. The only bad thing is the handle is completely square with hard edges, not sure who would design a key like this? I usually wear gloves with this in the field, so I think it's good enough.
