You get what you pay for

This is my third Hot Tools dryer. I've always been happy with the other two dryers. This one, not so much. The price seemed too good to be true - I thought maybe it was just a discontinued model or color so for $22 why not take a chance and buy a dryer from a brand I trust? So I found several problems: 1. The switches are poorly placed; I often accidentally change the settings while drying.2. Heat is unstable 3. There are ventilation holes in the insulator nozzle, which is contrary to the…

Not all Hot Tools attachments are compatible

I purchased this dryer specifically to replace my previous Hot Tools dryer which is no longer in production. I had several attachments for my previous dryer and thought they would fit, but they don't. And the attachments for this dryer do not fit properly, they easily slip out of the groove when drying. Another issue I have with this dryer is the location of the switch. It is located in the most inconvenient place - right on the handle. I constantly find myself accidentally turning it off or…

The best hair dryer I've ever had!

This was the first true non-drug hair dryer I invested in after using a friend's Hot Tools hair dryer and realizing how different it was from my old hair dryer. I was looking for a cheaper one than theirs (on a budget) and found this one a few years ago, in Ulta I think maybe? It was about the same price as here and it has lasted me YEARS (literally 5+) and still works just as well! The heat on the 'high heat' setting is something you'll never get with a cheaper hair dryer - it literally makes…

Terrible hair dryers

I am returning this item. 1. The cord is so short that once plugged into an outlet (farther from the edge of the closet) it's barely enough to turn your head and dry your medium-length hair. 2. I should have paid attention to the reviews but the buttons on the side are in a weird place because there is no place to store the damn thing and every time you pick it up the buttons toggle out! Didn't they do product quality control? 3. The back grille doesn't have a grille like my last one to cover…

Curly Girl's Dream - Hair Dryers & Accessories

This hair dryer didn't make my list. However, after some research, it seemed like the best option to me. All of the standalone diffusers were expensive and didn't disperse the air very well judging by the reviews. This hair dryer comes with one that suits my curls (2B) and it disperses the air really well so it's not that strong (which I need for my fine hair). The far-infrared head seems to reduce drying times, but I've also found that dryers kinda become less efficient with age, so we'll see…

Drying time halved!

I've had it for a week now and I LOVE it! There was a burning smell the first 2-3 times I used it. I hoped and prayed that after a few uses it wouldn't linger. And yes, the smell is gone. But with my hair 85% damp I can dry it in 10 minutes! I usually need 20-25 minutes; Considering that I have thin, but at the same time full and thick hair. And I love that I no longer have to constantly reach out and squeeze my hand while blow drying my hair! I would definitely recommend this product!
