This is the best knife sharpener I have ever owned. I had electrical and other manual devices, they just didn't work. A big compliment to the high quality and the good price. Bought a few as gifts! I would recommend to anyone looking for a knife sharpener. You will fix all your knives, yes everything!

Especially for sharpening ceramic knives. Maybe it's me and my technique, but my knives were NOT sharpened AT ALL! Now they have nicks and grooves. I followed the instructions for ceramic blades exactly. I don't know how it works with metal blades. I have no. I would not recommend this ceramic knife sharpener.

I was just hoping to sharpen a Gerber pocket knife. I managed to upgrade a battered bayonet that I received from the Athletes' Guide. This has an amazing advantage. This thing is so good that I bought two more, anticipating that one day it will become unavailable and I don't want to settle for a lower quality sharpener in the future.

I'm so glad I bought this knife sharpener! I originally wanted to buy whetstones, but they are more expensive and more difficult to use properly. This sharpener is very easy to use and it only took me a few minutes to sharpen my knife. I feel like I just got a new knife again! Highly recommended. Also delivered very quickly.

Excellent knife sharpener - stays in place during use and is easy to use. Feels absolutely safe. The instructions are easy to follow and I love that there are 3 types of sharpening for all my knives. A protective glove is a nice plus, although probably not required. I used it on an old Calphalon knife and it works like new! Definitely recommend!

Easy to use, very effective, stylish design, comfortable grip and safe handling. I particularly appreciated the large non-slip base and detailed instructions that set this product apart from others I've looked at. Also included is a protective glove which is very nice. Anyone who owns big game trimmed in the field knows how sharp your blades need to be. Went moose hunting in Oregon last weekend and caught one on day two. The animal fell down a fairly steep slope and we had to bandage it where it fell. I set up our knives with a knife sharpener, but things slowed down about halfway. I pulled out my pencil sharpener and got back to work 60 seconds later. Good product.

This sharpener didn't work for my Boker ceramic knife. Anyway, I think my knife has worn away the diamond coating on the rods that should be used to sharpen ceramic knives. I can't tell if this thing will sharpen regular steel blades as I haven't tried it, but you might want to consider something else if you need to sharpen your ceramics. And yes, I used this sharpener as instructed to try and sharpen my knife.
