World Class Design - Mudguards

World Class Design and Craftsmanship. It came with yellow bushings to help guide the strut I think. However, they were designed to be easily removed for the larger seatposts I had. The locking mechanism is then a pivoting thumb bar, as are many seatposts which I believe make removal and adjustment very easy. I am very impressed by the ingenious design. Note I also ordered a matching front fender and it is equally well designed.

Very effective and good looking

After 3 tries I got this product for my 27.5x2.60 tires so I don't have dirt spatter on my back, it pushes out as much as possible. The fender is very easy to assemble, there are metal joints where necessary, it is very strong, almost does not move when driving. They really need to make a longer fender as virtually all bikes come with 27.5 or 29 tires, that would be so easy to do. . The length of the chainstay also plays a role in the fit. I love the look of it and the design is great.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Easy repairability

Nice fender, cheap seatpost clamp

Works well as a rear fender. I mounted it on a 29er with slick road tires that pick up a lot of water in the rain and I don't have a stripe down my back after riding. I agree with other reviewers that the plastic seatpost clamp is really flimsy and feels like it will break when you tighten it. I was so afraid it would break that I left the clip sticking out at a 45 degree angle instead of trying to tighten it. So far it has held up the seatpost well. Works for $20.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Minor issues

Easy to install. I've read questions about durability in colder climates. I live in Arizona, fragile plastic doesn't bother me. I've read about wing integrity and strength issues. This is a wing used to prevent stones and the like from falling on you. Is okay. I have an issue with a product package that appears to have been previously opened and then shipped to me (there are some obvious signs). I contacted the seller about these issues, but I'm happy with the grand piano itself.

DEFINITELY GET THIS.

Just received today. Everything about this order was perfect. Revain Prime took 2 days to ship. The packaging was excellent. The product itself seems durable, strong and resilient. It doesn't move and doesn't make my bike look terrible. It fits my 700x38c bike easily and has three adjustment points (one for the stem and two for the fender angle). I am incredibly happy and satisfied with this product and would recommend it to absolutely anyone on the market. for the rear wing. Whoever designed…

Dare.: Wings

After reading some negative reviews I have to admit that I was a bit reluctant to buy. I did it anyway and I'm glad I did. Is the bracket a bit fragile? So maybe don't pedal and you'll be fine. That's not a footboard, that's a wing, and a good one at that. Lightweight, easy to turn on and off, looks great (I attach a photo); so don't be afraid Buy this product. You will not regret it. 4.75 stars. I'd give it a five, but some riders have legitimate concerns about the mounting hardware, and I…

Another breakdown of parts

a breakdown of the clamping mechanism was noted in some reviews. Well, mine was no different, it broke on the inside where the diameter adjustment slots are. Luckily I have access to someone who can make this piece out of metal, so it should be a bit stronger in that area. If Topeka wants to keep making it out of molded plastic, they'll have to come up with something more permanent. The thickness in this area is only 1.75-2 mm. I'm not sure what type of plastic they use (HDPE I guess) but my…

The missing link is the mounting arm

My DeFender has worked great for 2.5 years with light use. Then the plastic bracket connecting the fender to the seatpost broke off at a small adjustment (I didn't use much force; the plastic must have loosened over time). I contacted Topeak customer support and was told that this is not covered as it is not covered by a guarantee (fair enough) and that I can purchase a replacement part from their store. Unfortunately, the mounting arm is not listed in their parts store, leaving me with a…

Easy to assemble but looks great.

Based on my previous experience of Topeak quality, I bought this with confidence. However, I was very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the fender isn't bad, it just doesn't live up to the standards I've come to expect from Topeak. First the good: 1) The blade is actually very strong and appears to be well made. 2) It is well defined and offers exceptional coverage. (The product listed is for a 26" MTB tire, but from the photos you can see that the Defender is mounted on a 700C/29" wheel with…
