Good job cycling

I put black tape on the section that clamps the dropper post and had no problem keeping it in place. I've only ridden it a few hundred miles but so far so good.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Reliable

The secret way to use a dropper with a large seat pocket

In my opinion, this thing is more reliable than the fancy "drop compatible" bags on the market and eliminates tail wagging due to its low profile. The construction seems good so hopefully it will hold up over time.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Modern

Keep it up, theme! good for hydration

I have been packing bikes for 5 years and have tried various solutions to attach my large seat bag to the dropper post. Topeak's solution is by far the best! You lose minimal travel and it fits in almost any bag that attaches to the seat tube. Topeak, I hope you have good patents on this design!

Pros
  • Industry best
Cons
  • Concise manual

Must hang every saddlebag on dropper post

Unfortunately, before I found this mount I had a slot in the back of my DP. This mount eliminates any friction and provides enough space for the DP to be fully compressed. Since I only attach the saddlebag Velcro strap, the attachment is much stronger than I need. While it's not "heavy," I'd buy it if Topeak made a lightweight plastic version.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Hard to tell
