If I had known more about TR sockets before buying, I would have chosen another brand. TR plugs make it very difficult and in some cases impossible to use some plugs, including new devices and electronic devices. For example, my new MacBook Pro won't plug into TR jacks, but older devices and plugs may work after spending time wiggling and wiggling the plugs. I bought 5 and thought I would put them in strategic places around the house where I could plug my laptop in without warting on the wall. except that I was too hasty and didn't read that it would NOT charge a Type-C laptop.
